MDRF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit law firm, offering free comprehensive legal advice on all debt matters so Massachusetts families may achieve their financial goals, regardless of their ability to afford a lawyer. We also provide pro bono legal representation in chapter 7 bankruptcy and other debt matters when appropriate, in accordance with our eligibility guidelines.

Created in June 2011, our Program Attorney Maegan Hurley and Founding Director Attorney Richard Ravosa have been recognized for our innovative free debt relief legal services. MDRF relies on volunteer attorneys to help deliver services and on public donations to help low income families move beyond debt and become more financially stable.
